Unabashed beer lover that I am, I was pleased to find Vietnam has a growing local craft beer scene. And I was thrilled to discover C-Craft Beer Pub a few blocks behind our hotel…
Here at C-Craft, they offer seven different beers and one local cider on tap that they brew themselves. (The taps all say “Old Quarter Brewing Company”, but I couldn’ find them on Google, however, the bartender told me they switched to C-Craft recently, which I did find on Untappd.) I started with a seasonal Christmas brew with cinnamon and spice, then moved into their flagship golden ale, both of which I quite enjoyed…
They also have a menu of about 15 different bottles, which they also brew, which incorporate local Vietnamese ingredients. I loved the Lemongrass Wheat…
The staff is friendly and helpful, the bar has free wifi and outlets for charging, and the open seating at the entrance is an excellent place to people-watch here on “Bia Street”! And as an added bonus, they let you buy street snacks from the local ladies and we discovered that unripe mango with seasoned salt is a popular pairing with a beer in Vietnam…
So happy we stumbled upon this place by sheer chance!
